For those who don't know us yet, our company is called Nepali Koseli, which translates to "Souvenirs of Nepal." We aim to promote Nepalese craftsmanship in France and Europe through products that we have carefully chosen in a fair and environmentally friendly manner.
Among these products, there were many knitted hats, gloves, and socks, all made from 100% sheep wool, with some featuring a fleece lining. After the Christmas markets of 2022 and 2023, we still have a significant amount of stock left on certain products. So, we thought that keeping these items boxed up isn't the best idea when they could bring warmth to homeless individuals.
Winter is already well advanced, but nevertheless, nights remain cold for some time even after winter ends, and these items can be useful for several years.
The wool products we primarily want to donate are long socks and non-lined hats.
The goal of this fundraiser is to collect 1,151.90 € (excluding the 5% donated to an association, a rule imposed by Tribee).
This amount represents 51 hats and 125 pairs of socks.

How are we going to calculate how many hats and socks will be donated ?
If our goal is reached:
51 hats (5.90 € x 51 = 300.90 €)
125 pairs of socks (6.40 € x 125 = 800 €)
The unit amounts represent the purchase cost of each product once they arrive in France. Therefore, no profit will be made through this fundraiser.
If your generosity exceeds our expectations and we collect more money than the set goal, we will also donate other wool products, including non-lined hats and socks, as well as gloves, fur-lined slippers, and fleece-lined hats.
Why are we doing this fundraiser ?
When we created Nepali Koseli in June 2022, we researched which companies we wanted to work with. For knitted wool items, we tried to choose different styles to satisfy a wide audience and discover what would truly appeal once in France to order more precisely next time. At that time, we didn't have much experience, and some items did not sell well, especially the non-lined hats and socks.
To be fair, we ensure that our profits remain small, and we decided that 15% of our profits would be donated to support projects in Nepal and/or France. Currently, we don't work full-time on the business yet, but that will soon change. However, all of this results in our final profits being quite small.
That's why we're asking for your help to give away these hats and socks. If our profits were higher, we could afford to give them directly, but since that's not the case at the moment, it would represent a significant loss for us, and we don't want to see these products remain in boxes.
Why did we choose Tribee to do this fundraiser ?
When we researched which site to use for this fundraiser, we studied various options, and Tribee stood out. Unlike others, they don't take commissions on the collected amount. However, they require a minimum of 5% of the amount to be donated to an association of choice from those present on their site.
To cover their bank fees and management costs, Tribee relies on participants and the beneficiary of the fundraiser through donations.
We chose to support the "Les Midis du Mie" association to stay connected to the purpose of our project, as their missions include:
Supporting young girls: solidarity accommodation and follow-up.
Supporting young foreign minors: outreach, basic needs, emergency accommodation for the most vulnerable.
